Nobut II. is my final Bachelor’s collection, developed at the intersection of research on emotions and material constraint. The project examines human emotional defence mechanisms, translating them into form, structure, and silhouette. Produced entirely from luxury second-hand garments and production offcuts, upcycling becomes a defining design driver that shapes the collection’s visual language. This process led to a deeper investigation into the challenges and potential of upcycling, forming the foundation of my Master’s research into accessible upcycling strategies.

My Master’s project explores circular production in luxury fashion through the upcycling of post-production offcuts. Using the Burberry Kensington Trench Coat as a case study, the research addresses textile waste and raw material extraction, while demonstrating economic advantages for companies through reduced material costs and minimised waste.
